Whats a good amp to play rock/metal? I was thinking maybe Crate, or Fender, or M!

Question: Ill have to agree with racheal and say marshall. Anything else would be an injustice to the music. Fender has taken stand in more Pop rock tunes, where as crate might be the second best in rock metal. Marshall has had a decent speaker for a long time...
if anything... go Orange

Marshall is good, I personally prefer Orange over anything else, but usually if you're just starting up you can find used Marshalls for cheap, and they're good enough.

fool...you need to get yourself a krank. i mean...dimebag..come on. i dont even like pantera but you cant deny his ability and their metalness. crate completely sucks. dont even look at it. marshall is good for rock, as is fenders tube amps. peavey 5150 is a solid choice, as is a mesa dual rectifier, or triple if you wanna get crazy. orange is good for rock, but expensive and hard to find domestically.

Messaboogie.

You can't go wrong with Marshall.

Marshall are the undisputed amp champions. Personally, I love my Line 6, purely as it has to be the most versatile amp out there at the moment. As for metal, a lot of bands prefer the solid state amps, such as Krank.

Orange all the way and Mesa Boogie is really good too.
