Besides, I've heard way better bands than this band
they are not emo. but i agree they are not exactly metal.

I never thought of them as metal, honestly. I don't really listen to them, there's only one song I really like. I don't think I'd call them emo, but they certainly aren't metal.

a7x is not emo. they are not really metal either. if you listen to their first two albums its screaming. then once they got into their third its some screamo and some singing...the fourth one is pretty much all singing. they are a great band and i love them...i mean yeah they are no metallica or slayer but they do kick some pretty good *** for today's generation of music

Avenged Sevenfold have all different types of music, so probably not. But these 'metalheads' probably wouldnt want to say they like a7x, just because a few 'emo' people like them. I never thought they were metal or emo.
They aren't emo, they definitely aren't metal. They just suck beyond belief.
Avenged Sevenfold is in a totally different book than Emo.
Emo bands have no talent and the only thing they take seriously is their eyeliner and hair.

Why does it matter? Do they have to be "metal" for "metalheads" to like them? Why can't you just like what ever music you like? Why do you have to stick to one genre? Why can't a song or band be more than one genre? Why is it uncool to like different types of music? Why has music got such strict rules now? You're emo if you listen to so-and-so, but definately not if you listen to so-and-so. You're a metalhead if you listen to so-and-so, but definately not if you listen to so-and-so. By the way, Avenged Sevenfold is amazing beyond belief. :]
