What song do I Sing for the talent show??!

Question: Okay, im in eighth grade, and we're having a talent show (im not sure if it's a competition as well)
and i desperately need to know what song to sing.
theres so many choices.
i like songs that are girl friendly like Teardrops on my guitar and
also rock/christian songs like Never Alone (Barlow girl)
but i want something that will leave a BIG impact like My heart will go on (celine Dion)
(im good at all of those songs, i just dont know...)
its tough....got any selections?
PLEASE! anything will help! i know it!
(also, if something will sound good a'capella that would be cool too)

someone asked a similar question a minute before... i said:

"know your range - know your weaknesses - don't try to sing a song with lots of high notes (or long notes, or fast lyrics etc) if you know you don't hit them quite right - no matter how beautiful the song itself is -- talent shows are about showing what you're good at... so pick a song that feels good to sing - that makes you proud of your unique voice"

i'll also add that if you do choose to go a capella, you have to know that you will stay on pitch... few people have perfect tone and perfect control... and there's nothing worse than an off key a capella piece, in my opinion -- people won't think any less of you for singing with accompaniment

the song itself is not what will leave an impact (and my heart will go on will only remind them of an overplayed song)
you want to show them what you're made of, so choose what's best for YOU
