Stone Cold Crazy By Queen?!

Question: Does anyone really consider this the first thrash metal song?

Answers: Does anyone really consider this the first thrash metal song?

Although this song is acredited to all four members of Queen it was originally written by Freddie and the song was performed with his band Wreckage. When Freddie joined Queen the other members added and changed the song. It took on many forms including a slow version before becoming the "speed metal" song it is known as today. It is one of the fastest songs known during that time period and one of the fastest songs Queen ever did. Queen was able to pull off any kind of music and did it quite well.

No, but it's still a good song.

No, but you should check out there song "Sheer Heart Attack" from News Of The World. I think that is much closer to what you're looking for.

They're not really metal though. They're like, a lottttt of different genres. Classic Rock though definitely.

Metallica thought it good enough to cover it back in the day... before they became a pop band.
I can see your point...

I can see why you would say that. And I don't see why it can't be considered the first thrash metal song. IT'S AWESOME!

And MetallicA covered it \m/>_<\m/ \m/>_<\m/

Its a stretch but I can see it. Queen was always ahead of their time. Everything they did was ballsy and unique.

imo, you could go all the way back to Blue Cheer's "Summertime Blues" for a good example of a proto-thrash tune. check out some of their other material to see they were pretty brutal for their time . i'd also check out Hawkwind for some early metal stylings. and Pink Fairies ( yeah, that's the name, lol)
