Its not rap, its the damn media. even the most succesful celebs get sucked in the whirlpool.
rap plays a lil part, we are only influenced by the lyrics like: look at daht booty for example, now boyz are like "man look at daht fat ****, I wanna tap her yo!"

well in a way it is true, b/c all they listen to is the trash in the radio the fake hip hop degrading women and desiring cars and bling which makes them think its cool so they copy the artists. if they listened to real councious hip hop, they would have a right mind
Maybe it's because gangsta rap preaches violence against women, drug use, and cop killing. Gangsta is not music, it's pro-criminal and should be banned from the airwaves.
its not about the music its about the singers. They schoud give better example for young people. I listen metal and I am discriminated against too, but those people dont really have idea what are they talking about. I mean listening that kind of music will not make me violent or worst person, Its just my way to get higher adrenalin level, others use extreme sports for that purpose... Me personally dont have anything against rep, I just dont like that gangsta attitud ( illegal guns and shiting about women)
