Regarding music and bands from this decade..?!

Question: Is it me or does it seem like there haven't been any bands whatsoever worth seeing or CDs worth buying? Perhaps the White Stripes and Queens of the Stone Age, but I truly have not been interested in any musicians from the 2000's. Perhaps someone can recommend some. I do prefer rock/ hard rock.

I'm personally a lcassic rock but two of my three favorite bands are modern, Porcupine Tree and Radiohead.

Porcupine Tree has a huge amount of range and can sounch a tad bit on the poppier prog rock side like Marillion but also sound like Rush (actually, Alex Lifeson of Rush did a guitar solo on one of their songs) but their main influence is Pink Floyd.

Radiohead is much more alternative but they're very melodic and have very great lyrics.

And another two bands I also enjoy that can pass for modern are Dream Theater and Opeth, both progressive metal.

These are actually 90's bands but are all still very much active and kicking it today. And their new music is (in my opinion) even better now

If you like AC/DC ripoffs , check out Airbourne. Unless you know them already.

all hard rock
and they rock

Avenged Sevenfold or Dragonforce

I'm with ya on the White Stripes.
My recommendations for the 00's:

1) Foo Fighters!
2) Eminem
3) Metallica had St. Anger (it's no 'Master of Puppets' of course).
4) My Chemical Romance

Papa Roach or Saliva, not sure I'd buy a CD from the latter, but they have planty of awesome songs across their albums

The 80s and some early 90s rock bands rock the most.
