To begin playing clarinet does the clarinet reed need to be wet?!

Question: yes you do. i've been playing for 5 years now. you should wet the reed before you play to get a sound out. if you dont you might just get squeaks. thats what happened to me when i first started. also, you might want to get a softer reed like a 1 or 1 1/2. since your beginning. it'll help you get a better feel for the clarinet until you can use a 2 or 2 1/2

Yes.

I believe so!

Suck on it for a couple minutes..................

yes

Not to be rude, but DUH!!! You have to have the reed wet in order to play the instrument. It needs to be really wet so suck on it for like 1 min to 2 min. Also make sure you have the right size for the reed. If your a beginner you need like a 2 or 2 1/2. If your reed has a crack in it, then get rid of it and get a new one.

yes have fun playing

yep. listen to <3 jMi <3

YES! Just stick it on your tongue while putting your clarinet together and setting up your music.
