music will be free and will probably be primarily on the internet, artists will only make money from touring or other products and ventures. therefore hiphop will once again be about art, music and culture and not commercialism, the music will be made mostly for the love of it
Everyone will be downloading songs, there will be no big labels. So only the good stuff will get to the mainstream. We talking back to old school!
None of that same formula of b!tches, h0es, and lamborghinis.
A b!tch and a h0e here and there is fine. But not 22 tracks all sounding the same out at the same time!
hopefully it will become all about stuff like the roots, lupe, immortal technique... they should bring back stuff like de la soul too. im tired of listening to the radio.
My friend jokingly explained this before
1973-1978 = Cavemen times (no written knowledge)
1979-1985 = Ancient Civilizations
1986-1996 = Ancient Greece and Rome (Classic time period)
1994-1997 = Renaissance
1998-Present = Dark Ages
Like John Lydon said, hip-hop is a creative dead-end by now. I'd hang on to the old stuff and not expect anything worthwhile in the coming years.
