How does one who is really musically talented get their music to record companie!

Question: Well, as you may have realized by now, this is not a very easy question to answer, but i will do my best to help you using my own experience and research. The first thing that i would recommend you do is go to your nearest book store (or you could order online) and buy "The Musician's Handbook". It has just about every tip of the trade that you might need to get your foot in the door. It has helped my band immensely.

Next, you will need a demo disc. I recommend you include two to four songs because they will only listen to one or two anyway to decide if they like you or not. Put your best or favorite song at the beginning.

You will also need a bio that describes your history with music and also gives a brief and simple description of your playing style. Dont overinflate your description though, nobody wants to know how great you think you are, they want to decide on their own. Also list all of the artists of your band (if you have a band) and what they contribute to the band (instruments, vocals, etc.) You also want to include photographs so that the company can get an all around idea of what you have to offer. Oh, and dont forget to include contact info! They can't sign you if they can't find you!

Just remember that you are selling yourself to the label, you want to be as professional and put together as you can to make a lasting impression.

Now, you are going to need addresses. You can actually find a lot of record label addresses online. Just run a search for record/music labels and try to look for official websites. Here is a site that contains many links that might help in getting you started: http://www.dirtynelson.com/linen/special...

Now stuff all that precious info in a big manilla envelope and get well on your way dude! Good luck to you and dont give up!!

Hello, well i think one of the most important facts that determine you succesful carreer will be your conections, its sad sometimes cause if you are a great musician you are not supossed to need anyone to help (But it happens of course), so that would be, a good manager can send your demo to every label of your country so you can be heard, and if you have the talent, thats it, you will make it, but think that there a lot of talented musicians who tried tried but to no avail, so all can happens, i dont even start to try my musical carrer, but its gonna be hard, especially if my first language is not English :P

In Australia, it is a matter of playing in clubs and pubs, weddings,events... to build a following.
Get a dedicated agent to have your talent recognised.

Enter a "___________ contest. American Idol Australian Idol......

Ask successful musicians that perform in your mother tongue.
Go to where you audience is? If it is Spanish, go to predominantly Spanish suburbs, events, social groups...ring up talkback radio programs and break into song say around St. Valentine's Day if it is a love song that you have.

Make a recording and upload it onto "YouTube". This lets the public decide how much they like what you have to offer.

The best way to do it is to get noticed do talent shows post on you tube do as many gigs as you can send your music to your local radio stations the more you get noticed the sooner you'll get a record deal be original and be diffrent

First you record a demo. The I suggest that you have copies of it made to take to the studios with you. I like www.princetoncd.com They do nice work.
