What are some difficult songs to sing?!
Question: in two yeas i am going to audition for American idol. although it is a long time away i want to know a lot of difficult songs by then. if i start now i can master so many of the really hard ones that will really show off my voice.

My advice is don't audition with a difficult song. Audition with an easy song and interpret it so that you can show off your vocal attributes.
For instance; 'Lean On Me' is pretty easy. You could start off with the basic melody then in the break you can go up a couple octaves and add notes. Practice it until it sounds dynamic.
Also keep this in mind - a lot of singers who audition for American Idol are so nervous they screw up the beat. This makes their voice sound bad because it's out of sync. When you practice, tap your foot or your hand on your side to keep the rhythm.
"how about you" by staind-even aaron lewis has trouble singing it live....thats bad when aaron has trouble.
I would say an y Whitney Houston songs would be good practice but I wouldn't sing them at the audition.
Try singing the national anthem. It covers quite a wide range of notes and most people can't hit them.
The Star Spangled Banner is a very difficult song to sing considering the wide range of notes it has. Another one would be Take On Me by A-Ha.

The Star Spangled Banner and Unchained Melody are hard. I should say they are hard to sing WELL.
Well it would help if you had a good voice, if you don't, you might as well sing "row, row, row your boat" :P
