Question: i see alot of lil wayne fans says hes the best out but he has no classic albums and when u ask them to name his classics they alwyas say the drought 3 thats a mixtape not an album so how can he be the best if he cant deliver when it counts

I guess it all depends on the quality of the mixtapes. Just because you drop a new mixtape every week doesn't make you hot, quality is better than quantity.
But if you make quality mixtapes and people talk about you, I guess you can be considered SOME kind of competition.
one or two wont, but making about one classic mixtape a month will make you a formidable contender. i get what tech is trying to say but take an example like papoose. his mixtapes are all better than any of lil waynes albums. there are even classic songs that everyone will know about like 'alphabetical slaughter'. thats a pretty famous song from a mixtape.
I think that Chamillionaire and Papoose are kings of the mixtape scene. Releasing dope mixtapes let people know who you are and what you are about. Some people are made for mainstream (Hurricane Chris, Soulja Boy..), and some people are about the mixtapes. But, I don't think releasing mixtapes make you the best..
