Less is better. I've gone to so many shows, and what you need to do, is just carry money (but not in a purse or wallet). Wear clothes that you don't care if they get trashed. Alot of people will be pushing and shoving to get close so don't spend hours picking out an outfit.
Forget your CD for the band. YOu'll lose it or you will break it. If you really feel the need to bring something, stick a guitar pick in your pocket, just in case you accidently meet a member.

have fun and be safe.

If you're on the floor, or the pit, the less you take, the better.
Trust me, carrying a bag with you is not only uncool, it's a huge pain and it's better just to take as much as you can fit in your pockets.
Don't be too worried about things getting stolen, everyone there has a cellphone anyway, and they probably won't be able to get their hands out to take it. xD If you're on the floor, you WILL be squished.
They always say camera's aren't allowed, but chances are it won't be taken away if you bring one, and everyone else will have it. All you really need is an album, a camera, and a phone. And wear sneakers.
If you're in seats, you can bring more as you won't be squished between hundreds of crazy fans.
Gigs are amazing, and it's a great way to meet a band.
Have fun!

The only thing you need to take to a show is cash. They shouldn't let you bring much in. If you are taking the album so they can sign it, don't bother. Just grab something at the merch table and have them sign that (assuming that is why you were taking the album), or your ticket stub.
Take a camera too (you might have to hide it)!

what do you mean what should you take....? dont take anything to concerts, cuz you dont need to take anything. just yourself, and if your going to see a crazy band, like a hardcore band or something, dont even take your keys. you could hurt someone with em

definantly ur camera!!!! and send me a pic of Jared Leto... I'd Love You 4evr!

Bring your ticket (and keep it on your person! You could be denied going back to your seat if you don't have it), yourself, cash/credit card. Most large venues (and even small ones) accept credit/debit cards. Make sure that at least one person in your group has a cell phone in case you get lost/there is an emergency.
Do NOT bring a purse. They can get stolen, dirty, and are just uncool. If you must bring a bag (and it should be for medical purposes, really), bring one of those drawstring backpacks. The album is a bad idea, too. Get them to autograph something from the merch table (and often times you have to buy an album to meet the band).
Also, do not wear nice shoes. Wear busted sneakers or leather boots. The floors tend to be sticky, and if your on the floor/in the pit the shoes could get ruined. Wear a t-shirt, because it gets really hot on the floor.
Of course, have a great time!

Check ahead with the venue before taking an obvious camera because it will be held at the door if not allowed. Take only what fits in your pockets. A cover paper from a CD or cassette will fit in a pocket and might get signed. Don't count on an autograph if bands did this for everyone they would be there for hours after a show. Good advice on the tenni's and old clothes. I was down on the floor for Loverboy in the eighties and I got puked on! My dress was stained and ruined and one of my fancy heels got stepped in by another stilleto heel while I was shoved by the crowd in the opposite direction.Bye Bye shoe! I removed my other shoe and hung on to it through the rest of the show but my naked feet were solid black and blue afterwards. This was my first and worst floor experience. Hope you have a great time and learn from all of us answering your question.
