Answers: The Grunge movement of the early 90's( Nirvana VS Pearl jam)

The Brit Pop mania of the mid 90's (Oasis VS Blur)

Or Girl Power of the late 90's (Spice Girls VS All Saints)

Grunge and britpop and all the other bands that emerged during 90s..They were my music of my generation!

the late 90's - spice girls, five, a1, westlife, take that, boyzone era

the early 90s!

a great variety of hard rock/heavy metal:
Guns N Roses, Metallica, ...

and then the uprising alternative rock genre:
Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, ...

Those were the days

Britpop.
Just can't stop loving Oasis.

red hot chili peppers they were so unexpected check them out on you tube under the bridge is the song you should hear

Grunge was a refreshing change from the slop that was (and still is) being put out.

late 90's because of bands such as the Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys, 98 Degrees and so on.

why?--> because most of their fans were young and thought their music was awesome.

now they suck.

when the red hot chili peppers released bloodsugarsexmagik :D

The early '90s, but not because of grunge (which was much more exciting in the '80s when it was new). You had the first crop of '90s stoner metal bands (Kyuss, Sleep, Monster Magnet...), the major emergence of shoegaze with My Bloody Valentine, the emergence of alt-country with Uncle Tupelo, and dozens of other musical threads stretching out in all directions.

While I like the grunge and brit pop, my favorite music of the 90s came from alternative bands like Third Eye Blind, Goo Goo Dolls, and Collective soul.

Around 1997 I guess

Definitely the grunge era, because you don't realize just how many bands that are still playing today got their start during that era or as a direct result of it. Too many bands of the mid and late 90s thought they were going to be massive but faded out quickly (remember how Oasis thought they were going to be as big as the Beatles?)

Grunge movement and 90's metal like Pantera

Early 90's (1991-1995) for certain. So many amazing new artists with new sounds came out at the same time, and some of the best albums were released. There was Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Smashing Pumpkins, Stone Temple Pilots, Sonic Youth, Rage Against The Machine, Nine Inch Nails, Bush, Collective Soul, Live, Foo Fighters, Pantera, and tons more! After 1996, nothing but lame 1-hit-wonder Brit-pop came out.
