Maybe not the best, but my favorite sounding is in "Stairway to Heaven"

free bird by lynyrd skynyrd

Stevie Ray Vaughns version of All Along the Watch tower is good

Although this may sound cheesy, Eric Clapton's solo in "Sunshine of Your Love" is one of the best ever. It lasts about 3-4 minutes and sounds unbelievable. He is a true master of the guitar, all the licks used in the solo are strung together beautifully, the work of a true genius.

Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb

No need for speed here, slow and captivating, like a solo should be.

I personally love Clapton's solo on the Beatles' "While My Guitar Gently Weeps."

Another awesome one is Keith Richards' solo on the Rolling Stones' "Sympathy for the Devil."
