I hate american idol, i hate pop music, i hate all that it creates, but?!
Question: was anyone as completely blown away as [even] i was by jordin sparks' singing of the national anthem last night at the super bowl? I have to give credit where it's due. She absolutely killed.
(now, if only her piece of crap album actually had some music written in the name of ART on it . ... :) . . . .it wouldn't be me if i didn't add that somewhere)

I absolutely agree - she was incredible. My husband has less tolerance for pop music, but he was in awe of her performance. But it doesn't change the fact that her album sucks. American Idol forgets that it takes more than singing ability to be a star. Paula Abdul should know that.

Yes, it was very simple and traditional sounding, it wasn't all wacky, it had such a sweet tone to it. It almost sounded like a Disney movie song. She looked beautiful too!
She was okay, nothing spectacular.
However, i'm sure this clip proves that Stinkbug's comment does not hold water.

She's an ok singer but I can officially say that she is not one of my favorite singers. The only American Idol winner singer I like is Kelly Clarkson because she can REALLY sing.
