Weekend BHM Trivia (Part 2)!?!
Question: Not to get mixed up with HNIC's thread, I am doing weekend threads dedicated to Black History Month for the next 3 weekends in the RHH section. For those who are interested read on, for those who are not, be gone!
I will post some information on a person, and whoever guesses it correctly, gets the 10 points.
1. Male
2. Writer/Poet (has published plays, poetry, and essays)
3. Orginally from Newark, New Jersey
4. Attended Howard University, but flunked out, and joined the Air Force
5. Converted to Islam in the 60's
6. After the assination of Malcolm X, he and others decided to open up a theather school in Harlem.
7. Was titled poet laurete in his home state in 1999, but was asked to give it back due to controversial poem he wrote pertaining to 9/11.
8. Spent time in the 50's and early 60's on the lower east side (NYC), and the villlage writing for various papers.
