i like dookie and american idiot, i like both "versions" of green day, i discovered their newer stuff first, but i've grown to love their old stuff! i really hope they follow through and release their album this year!

I totally agree with the other comment, I love love love American Idiot, which was the first Green Day album I ever heard all the way through, but then I got a hold of a Dookie CD and loved it, I also like bullet in a bible, nimrod, kerplunk, which is kinda hard to find but I have it, and warning, and last international super hits!! I remember when I was only about 10 yrs old I went to a consignment shop with my family and I found this tape and I thought the name was hilarious, so just for giggles I bought it, and that cassette turned out to be Dookie!!!

Different people are going to answer this differently. Some people prefer one or the other, purely because of style. I happen to like both, for different reason. The newer Green Day has a more... punk sound to it, while the older Green Day has a bit more of a classic rock sound. I'd have to say my favorite album is probably Dookie... but American Idiot was good as well.
I really like Warning and Dookie.
I also love American Idiot.
I love the old stuff and new stuff alike. It's different, but I think it's great either way.
I dunno... I only have one album, and thats American Idiot ( LOVE that song...lol).

I'd say I love them all equally but to be as honest as I can with you, the ones that are most frequently rotated in the cd player are Warning and American Idiot.

I know a lot of people hate this, but my fav. album is American Idiot. That's what made me notice that they even existed, and that's mostly the reason why I love that album (and because all the songs on that album are AMAZING). Nimrod comes really really really close to being my favorite album too, but that album lacks some stuff that AI has.
