Whats this line mean? *Savage Garden*?!

Question: "I believe that wedded bliss negates the need to be undressed"
Its a part of the song "affirmation"
I understand the rest of the song but that bit is just; I don't know, worded differently because I don't get it =]

Any suggestions?

I think it means, that when you're married, it takes away the need to see a partner naked as the fact that your married suggests there is more to them than that.

And if you are blissfully married, seeing each other naked is not so important

DUNNO either

well negates is denial..on how i see it,, its hard to explain..but maybe it has something to do with marriage first before sex tradition...sorry if im not of help

negates means to nulifiy, like cancel, so what he is saying is that being married cancels the need to be naked, i think ha ha
