Does anyone like "Carousel," "West Side Story," or "The!

Yes, they are fantastic and very much a product of their time. I am also a big fan of White Christmas, Cabaret, South Pacific, Showboat, High Society and the like. They are all classics. There may be a revival of the old ones (that is - remakes) but I think the time for creating them has gone. We just don't THINK like that any more. Nostalgia is one thing, but actually creating something innocent and wholesome? Those days are long gone.
ive never seen carousel but i love west side story and the music man you should take the time out to watch them and i should follow my own advice for carousel
Love the last 2, carousel not as much. The old musicals are alive & well in Rep and summer stock, and sometimes are revived on Broadway.
I love all three! but west side story is my favorite. They do Music Man a lot in high schools.. and hopefully the others will be coming back around soon. You hear about Les Mis alot, too.

I LOVE old musicals! Music Man is one of my top 10 favorite movies...so are Grease & Willie Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.
I liked West Side Story AFTER Bernstein opened up the strict interpretation he had demanded... I've seen some REALLY GREAT productions of West Side Story in Europe as they interpreted it.
OMG those are all my Fav musicals my first musical was west side story! Wicked and Phantom are soooooooooo OVERDONE!! I think that out of the three west side story would be most likely to be revived on broadway. My fav b-way musical right now would be Spring Awakening , it is splendiforous! The recently most people think they like broadway just because they like Wicked or Hairspray.
I am a huge fan of "Wicked", both the musical and the book (as well as the book's sequal - and all of the other books by Gregory Meguire (sp?)), but I also enjoy the "Music Man". West Side Story" is okay, but not my favorite.
I like West side story and I think they still have gangs in new york. Actually it is a lot like romeo and Juliet, too. So yes I think there will be a revival.
There was a small revival for Music man last year as it was the 50th anniversary of the Broadway opening. Great play! Also a lot of good music from West Side Story. Several songs would be good for all the audition questions coming in the last few weeks.
