Is there a song that has your name in it?!

Question: I have one, "Jennifer's Body" by Hole

Answers: I have one, "Jennifer's Body" by Hole

Yes.

"Michelle" by the Beatles (and others)
"Michelle Post" by Hootie and the Blowfish
"My Michelle" by Guns N Roses
"Fly High Michelle" by Enuff Z'nuff
Also mentioned in "Seasons in the Sun" by Terry Jacks

There's a song I've never heard called "Kelsey" by some band named Metro Station.

Ricky don't lose that number, you do't wanna call nobody else....Steely Dan.

I don't think so, no.
My name's Kamilah, which isn't particularly common in 'the western world' so I doubt there are any songs with my name in them.
I remember when Sarah asked this question, I wrote my own song with my name in it - I'm sure I'll never be able to duplicate that type of lyrical genius again.
ha.

There's a song by The Buoys from the 70s called "Timothy" that's about miners trapped in a cave-in. In the song, they resort to cannibalism and eat Timothy. I'm not a big fan, since it promotes the eating of people named Timothy

Layla by Eric Clapton ;]
i think i was named after it actually..

Farewell Angelina by Bob Dylan. (my name's Angelina) I was named after it.

i'm surprised, I have a few.

The Ranch, Neil Diamond, Keith Urban, and The Elected have songs called "Desiree".

Have I heard any of em? NEGATORY.

Apparently there is. I didn't think anyone could spell it let alone sing about it. Hey Rebekah by The Fold.

To the best of my knowledge, no. I have a very common name in Marc and yet no one has been inspired to make a song about me yet, so sad.

only one I can think of is

Daves I Know - Kids in the Hall

Steven - Alice Cooper (even though my name is spelled Stephen).

I know of two songs with my name as part of the title. There's:

Oh Sherrie by Steve Perry (lead singer for Journey)
Sherry by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons

Actually, I was named after the Frankie Valli song.

Yes Blue, the Name Game song.

I don't know one with my name in the title, but there is one which mentions my childhood abreviation in the lyrics :

'Stoney Road' ~ Chris Rea

I did a search on Travis and found that there are a few songs of that name, but I've never heard any of them.

There's the band, and they are a Nigel Godrich utilized band, but yuck.

My wife's name is Veronica which is cool for the fact that she's got the Elvis Costello tune, but it's a curse as well. I guess douche-y people sing it at her when they find out her name pretty frequently. It apparently got old very quickly.

Hey Uncle Dodge. I was named for an artist as well. I guess there is some obscure old folk act called Bud and Travis and they are my namesake. I've never heard them though.

Not that I can think of, but I have a band with my name in it!

Less Than Jake

YEAH, i just searched for it and its quite an awesome song too..

"Florence" by Post Break Tragedy

xD

not my first name but my middle name. "Nicole" by Point Blank

I wasn't sure if a song was actually done for my name and to my amazement there was...

"Katie's Song" by The Wankers. (WTF kind of band name is that?!) I'm willing to bet the song is horrible...

rusty cage by soundgarden

I didn't get named for a song title. I got named for the artist!

My parents fell in love to Moon River. It was a 50's song by Andy Williams.

"Your Uncle Dodge" is a stage handle - I'm a karaoke host and broadcaster when I'm happy.

I don't think so and I don't see someone writing a song with it in the near future. Bianca is not a common name at all. Kind of sucks :[

While no one has written a song about Turdford Q. Wigpickles yet, almost every Beastie Boys song references me personally, as I am also known as 'Mike D' among my friends with more than one friend named Mike.

Thanks to your question, I googled it and found a song! Well it's not exactly my name (Deidra) but the song is Dear Deidre by the Proclaimers.. didn't they do the "I would walk 500 miles.. dah dah dah!" song lol

yeaa =] . its

"Lindsay, Quit Lollygagging", by Chiodos <3

No... It would be kinda cool it there was one though! The only thing I have ever noticed my name in is the bible once, and on CSI once. It's not the most common of names, especially for a girl.

"Daniel" by Elton John

"Sarah" by Thin Lizzy
