Is my truss rod at fault, for my E string Buzz?!

Question: My E string buzzes at the first fret. Its almost muffled out completley. I have adjusted the bridge, and the nut shows no wear. The only other thing i can think of is that the truss rod needs adjusting. The guitar is a schecter c-1+.........

And what do people mean by "action"?

Action means the height of the bridge. Because it determines how far the strings are from the fret. The farther the strings are the lesser the buzzing should be. If the buzzing is still there, it's probably your truss rod. But the best way to solve that is consult a guitar tech/expert.

Try putting a piece of paper on the nut. If its fixed, then you gotta replace it. If not, its the rod.

The "Action" is how much space there is between the strings and the fretboard. If the action is too high, there will be fret buzz.

Go to any luthier and he can adjust it for you.

Good grief, dude! Didn't anyone tell you anything? Jerks! Action is the distance between your strings and the frets. Ovation presets from the factory (this will work for now) are 5/64 for the bass string and 4/64 for the high string, measured from the top of the 12th fret to the string. Yours sounds like a fret problem. TAKE IT TO A PRO! Probably needs a fret dressing, maybe a rod adjust. Ask him what he did, it's the only way to learn. Sounds like about $50. If that sounds like a lot, consider how much more you'll enjoy it if it plays right.
