Can someone give me a list and, if possible, fingerings for a lot of power chord!

Question: its exactly what master c said. thats a good example of power chords and those really work for the top 3 strings. when you move up to the higher string the notes get a little out of order. but you can use that position anywhere on the neck on any of the top 3 strings and have it be a power chord.

go here for a note chart of the guitar neck:
http://www.cyberfret.com/first-fret/note...

here you can see that using master c's example youd be holding down the third fret on the low E string (or string number 6) which is the note 'g'.
when holding down the 5th fret on the A string (or string number 5) you are hitting the note 'd'.
when holding down the 5th fret on the D string (or string number 4) you are hitting the note 'g'

using the chart and the note ratio for the power chord position will help you find other possible chord positions on the higher strings.

good luck!

E-
B-
G-
D- 5
A- 5
E- 3

Move it anywhere

Power Chord are just the first 2 strings of Bar Chords like G would be 3rd fret low E string and 5th fret B string, F would be 1st fret low E string and 3rd fret B string. use those patterns all over the neck, if it sounds good to you then that is all that matters. Keep on Jammin!!!!!

There's only two Power chords:

E
B
G
D
A 3
E 1

And:

E
B
G
D 3
A 3
E 1

And you move those up and down the frets to change chords. Personally, I prefer the two-finger, since it's easier, and sounds better, but the three-finger sounds thicker.
