What all do i have to do to be a DJ?!

first you need equipment go to www.musiciansfriend.com and check out DJ equipment, than check out on the same site Loops, for trance, house and other beats.
i think i can put enough time into your practices with mixing beats, and jugglin them back and forth, by the age of 18 you should be able to work the clubs, NEVER GIVE UP!
also, don't just focus on straight beats, try to scratch a lil bit while your practicing, you need diversity while dj'ing, switching it up in the clubs is the best way.
also know that your going to need to save up some $$$$.
as for your records/vinyl that you'll need to check out resale shops, ask your relatives if they have records that you can have, go and check out your neighborhood garage sales too. that should be good enough for your start.
also a tip your you, if in your area you have a record store, or like a guitar center they will allow you to practice on their equipment, but you need your records (and sometime your needle)....
and lemme say practice makes perfect and you will always learn new things , as well as new ways to spin records.
