I actually find Aerosmith very calming.
I can't listen to music when I'm trying to fall asleep, but in terms of music that I find soothing/healing, James Taylor does it for me. I also have a thing about listening to "Uncle John's Band" by the Grateful Dead when I have a cold--I'm convinced that song has healing qualities.

I think the best in this category is the Postal Service. Every song by them is so soothing and soft it is the most relaxing thing out there. I play it on my Ihome next to my bed pretty much every night and never miss a wink of sleep.

I like to listen to MTV Unplugged, Alice in Chains. It's such a relaxing album, it makes me drift off.
