What was the worst concert you've been to?!

Question: Everyone has their bad days....
I have a two-way tie for first in worst...... And I'm not saying I wouldn't go see them again - but man, when you look forward to a concert with someone you really like and then they just stand there and monotone out their songs.... well, that's what got them on my list!

Elvis Costello - have loved his music since album one - don't know what the problem was....
and
The Mavericks - have two of their albums and consider them classics, they are so good - but after the concert, found out the lead guy was getting a divorce from Tricia Yearwood but still...... suck it up! You've got a stadium full of fans waiting to hear you. Good thing the headliner (who I was not there to see, btw), Dwight Yoakum, put on such a great show when he got to the stage!

I unfortunately saw a solo Vince Neal. It was so bad mid way through the debacle I asked my girlfriend if I could wait for her in the car.

maroon 5...the singer had broken his sternum and tried to sing anyway...and could only get through 3 songs so they had to call it a night.

BE YOUR OWN PET CONCERTS ARE TERRIBLE!!!

You can't hear what Jemina is saying
but theyre good with recording

judas priest in 1987..really sucked.

I was once forced to sit through some Jazz concert for a school deal and it was the worst thing ever. Boring and so not for teenagers. I was falling asleep and it seemed to last forever and ever. I think it was something like 2 hours long but it sure felt like an eternity.

Loverboy played my hometowns's summer festival. took three weeks to wash the gay off

I've seen some bad shows mainly at festivals. Some that I can think back on were Stained, I hate that band so of course the show was horrible. I saw Tenacious D and they put on a half-assed show. I think it was the end of their tour and they just weren't putting a lot of effort into it.

The Police. Seattle, 2007

I waited nearly 25 years to finally see them and felt like I had been taken.

Don't get me wrong, they sounded great...but there was NO connection with the audience and Sting seemed to be cemented to his spot on the stage. Plus, we were forced to listen to the band of Sting's son as an opening act...they were not good by any means.

I am sorry to hear that Elvis Costello was bad for you. I have seen him 3 times and they are all in my Top 10 performances of all time.......I wonder what was up that night?

" J Geils Band " , at Saratoga Performing Arts in Saratoga New York in the 80's , they played for 45 minutes and left , people were so PO'ed there were hurling full beer cars onto the stage ,tipped over a baby grand piano when they rushed it too , boy was that a waste of money....

Worst concert ever was Korn in 2000 second worst was Creed in 1999.

Best concert ever has been Wolfmother they are freakin awesome live.

The Supersuckers and Ozzie Osbourne. YES, I said Ozzy!

The suckers really did suck. It was part of the Ozzmosis Tour (mid 1990's). It was just 5 guys playing music on the stage. It was SO boring! At least a monitor showing the corresponding video for the song they're playing, but no... nothing.

The Mannheim Steamroller performed w/ a real steamroller, not pretty!
On the positive side after a few minutes and some un-earthly screams the music stopped.

I've seen Ryan Adams twice. The first time was one of the best shows I've ever seen. The second time was one of the worst I've ever seen.

I did see the Lemonheads around 10 years ago and it was awful. Evan Dando looked bored to death, and I felt the same way.

Funny my dad is a big Costello fan, but I havent been to a real bad one yet, i.e. Davey Jones and the Monkeys, Bon Jovi, KISS, Van Halen, but I loved seeing Tesla. I dont know if it's because they are from Sacramento or what, but they blew me away.

P.O.D. they were really, REALLY bad.

Moby ! I went to Q101 Jamboree in 2001. Lots of good bands there but then this clown came up on stage. If anyone wants to see a really pale white dude jump around to a synthesizer.. this is your concert.

Clay Aiken at Wild Adventures in Valdosta, GA. lol. I know, I know...that's embarrassing to even admit, but the tickets were free. I won them off the radio station.

I also have a two-way tie, Eric Clapton I seen in Germany back in the 70's and the crowd was screaming play Layla and he stopped in the middle of a song and said,I play what I please when I damn well please.2nd was Ted Nuggent in St Petersburg Florida, it was to loud and distorted,I had a headache for days after it.This is coming from someone who has seen his fair share of concerts from The Rolling Stones up to the 80's when Journey,Eagles,Bob Seger,Styx, and Fleetwood Mac were on tour.Best concert would be a toss up too, Bob Seger and the Eagles would tie for #1

The Used. Burt was being a total moron and kept asking about our football team. The concert was in New Mexico and they don't have an NFL team! What an idiot. Oh, and their songs and musical skills suck.

I heard that Diana Ross in the 70's was pretty bad, she kept shouting "everybody sing!" in the middle of songs, instead of just singing the songs.

The Deftones
They Opened for KISS on KISS's Reunion Tour
And they got booed the hell out of Rupp Arena because they sucked so very badly
The worst part is..I missed seeing Alice In Chains (While Layne Staley was still with them) by ONE lousy Tour Date

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

LMAO at G's Up's answer!

I can't say any of the shows I've been to were bad. I only spend $$ on my absolute faves, legends when I can & great, up & coming indie bands. So everyone I've seen gave a great show. I guess it's also b/c I don't go to that many shows compared to some people. I'm amazed at the # of shows some people attend in 1 year.

All the rock concerts I have been to were great..
A bad concert would be a philanthropic benefit show I went to: the singer was Luis Miguel a Latin pop star. I mean the guy is a great singer in live shows... but the sound was a real disaster it sounded like he was stuck in a tin barrel and the ticket cost us a thousand dollars so I felt robbed.

I was at Rolling Rock Town Fair the year that Nickelback was on the bill....

I think they pretty much win. They sucked.

I saw Uncle Kracker in Detroit; I wasn't planning on going to see him, however my sister and I saw Sugar Ray, and a couple of weeks later Uncle Kracker was going to preform, he was Sugar Ray's 'special guest' both Sugar Ray and Uncle Kracker were really into the crowd. However at the Uncle Kracker show he just sang his songs and left, there was no interaction with the crowd at all, I was kinda disappointed with the show. I also had a horrible time at N'Sync, now I'm not a fan of boybands and never really have been, but my cousin was a huge N'Sync fan I got free main floor tickets so I took her with me, their show was all right, however my cousin cried threw out the entire show-- and that kinda ruined it for me.

Firefall. Just a wretched show...

I got to give the nod to Frank Zappa, at Cobo in Detroit, in 1977ish. He sat on a toilet through the whole show.I once fell asleep at a Yes concert, They were great. I was just tired from drinking a bottle of Port before the show.

Under the Influence of Giants. You can barely hear Aaron's (the lead singer) voice. I've been to two of their shows. First time, i just thought maybe the venue sucked, but no. I gave them another try, and same thing. You only hear music, but not the voice.

Black Sabbath They stunk up the place . horrible
