Why do people on here keepin asking if Hip hop is dead???????!

Question: I've never heard anything, anywhere about Hip hop dying, except for the song Nas made, which if you listen to it, is not even what its really about.
You can google search the number 1 selling music in the world and it'll come up hiphop/rap, in the world, not just U.S.A.
unbelievably for me, country is number 2, rock and roll number 3, i thought country would be at the bottom of the list.
Hip Hop is not dying, there are, I will admit, some shitty rappers out there right now with no depth/ meaning, but that happens in every Genre of music.
where are people getting this info from that hip hop is dead.
turn on mtv, vh1, bet, they even play hip hop video's in between movies on the movie channels on cable, hip hop fashion labels make the most money also, hip hop jewelry,
I would say, hip hop came from the gutter and took over the entire music industry, the people that think that its dead or even dying, obviously know nothing about the music or its history.

Who is gonna decide when its dead? Its all on you, if you think its dead thats only to you. Theres gonna be a lot of people like me who know better and know where the good music is atdespite what people think about hip/hops exterior.

Oh ReallY?

you deserve a cookie

They say its dead because they are directly comparing it to the golden days, its like how they say boxing is dead, because the golden days are long gone..
You prove the point that people make when they say hip hop is dead, hip hop is NOT about making money or topping the chart, its about talented individuals expressing themselves, and contrary to what many think, hip hop doesnt live in the charts or on the shelves, it lives on the street.
Every day it gets further and further away from the street, and this is the reason why people say its dying or its already dead.

Wishful thinking i guess

it is dead

Hip Hop was dead.

It was beginning to die around september 2006 and was almost gone until may 2007.
Hip Hop was being made into a horrible genre that made songs that had no meaningful meaning.
The times after many hit songs(So sick) Im in luv wit a stripper)(Slow Down) (We belong together)etc.
Many rappers began to just say whatever on the track.
Hip hop was heading down in the ratings and rock took over.
In may 2007 sean kingaton released (Beautiful Girls) and amanda perez released (Candykisses). Soon after this there were many songs (Bartender,Do you, Try so hard,Party like a rockstar) That made sense and hip hop made a comeback.
After the summer of 07 many people thought hip hop would once again die. With the release of Crank That hip hop stayed higher than ever.

Hope it doesnt die this summer

idk!!! lol

They crazy!!!!!!
