Why is it that people like to sing?!
Question: I love singing and am good at it but what about it bring so many people joy? I mean, specifically, is it psychological, physical, emotional or what? is there just one answer? let me know...

Singing helps to release endorphins - yep the 'happy hormone'. That's the 'scientific/physical part' of it. That's why we get really carried away when we sing (properly I mean, you're not going to feel happy when you squeeze up your throat, tense up to hit high notes, or end up getting a sore throat from putting too much pressure on your vocal cords). We feel as if our whole soul is flying in the air, with the music. Proper singing feels effortless, although it's anything but.
Another reason could be because music has always been associated with invoking certain emotions in us - hence the psychological aspect of it. There's something about music which just speaks to us more than speech, although I can't pinpoint what exactly. There are many answers, definitely. In fact I think it's everything you mentioned.
I love singing too, and I'm taking lessons. I fell sick just recently and couldn't sing for a whole week. I thought I was going to die from it, lol. I missed it so much! So when I finally got my voice back, I sang my heart out - and it sounded better than usual. It was all the pent-up, overwhelming desire inside me letting loose at one go. I must say I've never sang like that before, and probably won't for a long time, unless I get sick again. And who wants to fall sick really? ;)

I am not a professional, but I think we do it because music makes us feel good and sometimes we can relate to a lot of those songs.

but i like to sing and write music because it expressses myself and how im feeling. it makes me feel good when i hit a good note or when i sound even better!
because people love to create. singing is just another way to do that... even if you didn't write the song you are still projecting sounds.
plus it is just a great way to let loose and relax, or communicate your feelings and emotions, or join with others. there are many reasons why people love to sing!
People love to sing because it is a lighthearted activity that releases tension and stress. It's also a great way to express feelings, and tell stories. Song and singing have brought joy since ancient times, and I guess it's mainly the fact that music in general is a soothing, emotional thing.
ui know u dont have to know why we all sing it just flows out of ur mouth like when u llke a song an the rythm u start to sing sosinging makes u happy and that is why peopole like me an u and alll of us love to sing
i just do it because it's the only thing i enjoy doing that doesn't make me feel bad about myself. everyone enjoys my singing so i try to practice as often as possible...
Different reasons for different people. Some do it for attention, some do it to express emotions and express themselves creatively.
It's a fulfillment of natural human ability, like running as fast as you can.
