Out of those two songs only I'd choose "You Really Got Me Now" but my favorite Van Halen song is "And The Cradle Will Rock". I prefer the Roy Orbison version of "Pretty Woman".
I don't mind covers but not all come out the way the artist perhaps intended them to.
Actually, I like Jump and Eruption. Of your choices, Pretty Woman, and some are good and some suck....
Girl you really got me now
it has a great guitar solo
i wish i could play it
n no i hate wen a group covers a song unless that band is amazing
covers are stupid
runnin with the devil was the best
As a Cover song, I greatly prefer "You Really got Me," but some may agree that one of the best, most energetic songs is "Eruption/Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love."
i prefer you really got me, but the originals of both of those songs top van halen's covers
and overall, i'm really not a fan of covers, because the original artist had an idea in their head when they wrote a song that it was supposed to sound a certain way...and across time i find that very few covers have been able to capture the spirit of the original
Just about everything
When It's Love
I just really love that song, it's so pretty.
And I've also really been listening to Jump a lot lately, I learned it on the keyboard! Woo!
I love the video of the classic "Teacher" from 1984...
Dig a little and check out Loss of Control off of Women and Children First. It isn't your average 1984, keyboard-infused, late Van Halen. I'm going to the reunion tour in Dallas, so hopefully they will not die before then!
