Does anyone else think BIG would have been better off without Puff?!
Question: For one i do, sure puff provided the flashy beats and publicity, but i feel big didnt need all that and could have done just aswell or even better with Death Row east, (atleast he wouldnt have some talentless retard singing like a girl in almost every track)

I think that they made a good duo...but it would have been better for Biggie's life for Sean to stay out of things.
Biggie could have done really well with Death Row or with Def Jam...either one of thoose labels probably would have meant Biggie stayed alive, and the rift between he and Tupac never happened. Meaning Tupac might also be alive today.
Unfortunatly, we will never know if it would have made a differance or not.

I think puff and biggie made a good team.
Biggie was friends with Pappa Diddy Puff so he helped his career out...without Biggie, Diddy wouldn't have a show where he creates his own bands...and I think Mase wrote a lot of Diddys lyrics but I'm not sure
puff had biggie killed, he was tired of standing in biggies shadow, that was his final conquest to make it to the top. anyone notice how popular he became after biggie died?? and how he was just a backup guy when biggie was alive??

Biggie almost MADE Bad Boy & put it on the map..it wasn't Mase..it wasn't Craig Mack(well..maybe alittle of Craig Mack)..it wasn't 112 either..it was mostly Biggie! Why would Puffy wanna have someone killed that made his own record label famous worldwide?
Anyway I think Biggie would have been better off without Puffy...he might have NOT made as much money if he was with another label..but there's something that Bad Boy couldn't make or change about Biggie..and that's his Talent!
Don't think it would have mattered. The beats are 50% of the track, a track can have some shitty lyrics but if the beat is nice the songs going to sell albums.
Puff makes some good as beats, can't rap for **** but he can produce like a mug.
By the way, the big/pac beef wasn't what got them killed ,it was the cops that killed big and a fight that broke out with pac and some gang leader, appearently.
Personally, I think the government executes any potential black leaders by exploiting those from the community, getting them connected, and letting them take the fall when the operation fails. Who killed MLK, Pac, Biggie, Malcolm X, Huey, Bob Marley and everyone else. (And no, i dont believe bob marley died from cancer) All their deaths are either shady or unsolved. If you eliminate those in power, the rest are hopeless, the organization they once achieved will disappear and then you've got chaos while others view and profit from the pain.
Personally, I believe the people are victims of propaganda, and until we get an uncorrupt government we'll be handicapped.
I disagree and I'll tell you why. Puffy learned his craft from the master - Andre Harrell at Uptown/MCA records. He learned how to find talent, promote it and produce it. There's a good chance if it weren't for Puffy, Biggie never would have made it. Let's also remember that alot of the production came from more experienced producers like Easy Mo Bee and DJ Premier. Puffy was smart enough to use his production team (The Hitmen) too. He couldn't have produced that quality alone and he knew that. Bottom line is without Puffy there's no Biggie. And yes Biggie had great influence in putting Bad Boy on the map on the hip hop side but lets not forget Mary J Blige and Faith Evans on the r&b side.
