You know downloading songs from Limewire isn't legal, right? The software might be legal, but using it to download protected content is not.

Limewire is illegal- Not too mention it will mess your computer up. Use iTunes instead

Start with a full version of Norton Anti-virus because limewire will fill your PC with Spyware and Malware. Sure, downloading that is illegal, but you might as well protect your computer while your breaking the law.
You would probably be better off using a bittorrent client (may I suggest Deluge) along with the Firefox web browser and Torrent Finder extension to locate and download music. There is often a lot of junk up on Limewire... malware, false posts, etc. and you will more than likely spend more time sifting through the crap than getting what you want.
