Qtrax music program is having trouble starting, whats goin' on?!
Question: Qtrax is having some trouble releasing there software because the record company's have denied having anything to do with Qtrax, do you think its possible for them to pull this off and we can actually have a free LEGAL!! MP3 download source???? cause that would just be too cool and it would actually be profitable for the record company's if you think about it. thanks

I actually found a website where you can download Qtrax:
http://www.netzwelt.de/software-download... The page is in German so just click where it says 'hier' and the download should start automatically. Unfortunately you can't download any songs from it yet, because yes, record companies are denying that they made any agreement with Qtrax, although Qtrax's director Allan Klepfisz says they have, just not in writing. Apparently Qtrax are going to go ahead and make downloads available 'soon', despite the claims that the record companies haven't given their consent to do so. When Klepfisz was asked whether he was worried about the legal repercussions, he said that he hadn't actually been threatened with a lawsuit. So fingers crossed they go ahead with the downloads, although it does sound too good to be true.
EDIT - QTRAX IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD
I love the idea of free music which is okay by the owners (sony etc). but the deal with qtrax is that there will be heaps of adds supposedly, which will pay for the songs being played. But now there are rumors that music companies have nothing to do with them yet BUT theyre still in negotiations.
But, qtrax is being lame, and after 3 days of saying its available to download, and then saying it would be available on the stroke of midnight on the 28th.
And now the site is down.
I think the best thing to do now is to wait until march 28 when the mac versison comes out so songs can go on ipods!
