Who sings this OLD SCOOL RAP SONG.....????!

Question: It came out like in 1989..90

I think it's called "shaquita" or "The queen is mine" or something like that

and the chorus goes:

"Wake up from all your silly dreams
thinking that she's your not mine

The queen is mine...
because the wise black queen is mine..

she's mine
she's mine..

Is it....Shakila - PRT(Poor Righteous Teachers) ??

Haha this probably isn't it, but it's by Michael Jackson & Paul McCartney called "The Girl is Mine"

Chorus:
"Because She's Mine
The Doggone Girl Is Mine
Don't Waste Your Time
Because The Doggone Girl Is Mine"

Sorry if that didn't help! But always go to lyric sites and type in the lyrics you know and you'll probably find it.

yeah that sounds like jackson and mcarthy..but it could easily be brand nubians (they were pro black movment around that time)

i was gonna say queen latifa off her first album but nah its about a girl....could also be stestasonic (think i spelled it wrong) they came around in the mid to late 80's also pro black group.

could possibly be jungle brothers..but i believe around this time they were making less of the bro black stuff and more of the electronic type beats they do today.

It was a group called "Poor Righteous Teachers".....they also had a song called Rock This Funk Joint, if that helps

poor riteous teachers

kiki is correct
