Although MANY of us DON'T like cover songs, what songs from the "psyche!

Question: do you think could be re-made into hits today, and by what CURRENT bands?

I can handle remakes if the artist doesn't totally butcher the original.

When I read your question I thought of this and it may not answer your question (and kick me to the curb if you'd like) but a good friend of mine recently recorded "With A Girl Like You" by the Troggs. I think it turned out rather well.

Check it out if you'd like!

I think if any great post-rock bands out there (Pelican, for instance, are awesome) attempted some of The Moody Blues material from On The Threshold Of A Dream with a guest vocalist (don't know who), it could be EPIC.

It might sound interesting to have Porcupine Tree do some covers of Syd Barrett Pink Floyd... hehe

I personally don't like remakes, occasionally one turns out though that I like. Guess I'd want to hear something by the Moody Blues but someone else can choose the band.

There may be a handful that would be interesting though many of them have already been done.

"Time Has Come Today" (by someone OTHER than Sheryl Crow this time, please..)
"Just Dropped in (To See What Condition My Condition was In)"

"White Rabbit" covered by Slayer
