The piano is the easiest for beginners. I started piano lessons back when I was about 5 years old, and while the songs I learned were all very simplistic, they could still end up sounding decent. It also gives you the widest variety of music options later in life (jazz, classical, rock, whatever). You also get a chance to learn how to read music without having to put a lot of worry into technique.

The flute would be a good choice if you want something that you can carry around with you. It's also pretty easy to get started on, but you have less options on what kinds of music you can play. You usually only hear flute solos in classical or new age type music.

The violin is a terrible choice. It sounds terrible in the hands of any beginner, and the technique required for making proper sounds is difficult to learn.

try taking up maybe the flute or an accordian
or try a keyboard there are lots of simple things to do on those.

piano is the good one.....

I'd say the piano. You get used to reading music on bass and treble clefs, and it makes it easy to see how chord structures and scales work. It will make it a LOT easier to take up another instrument if you've been learning piano for about a year.

I would say 'guitar', a lot of my friends use the guitar but rarely strung classical like 'Xavier Cugat" or 'los robles'. You can find them in dw.de. com

My parents had me do the same thing. To me piano was easier to learn than others. I don't play it anymore due to some things even though I still want to but, it is fun to play, just remember to play it frequently.

I think piano is the best instrument to start with. My first instrument was the violin and I did pretty well with it but I think I could have done better if I had started with the piano. It's the best, easiest way to learn to read and play misc in my opinion. It's good you have such an interest in music no matter what instrument you choose. My violin teacher had two daughters who could play piano, marimba and most other percussion instruments but they both could play the violin. Creating music is a huge gift so please go for it. You can always change your mind about the instrument you like most.

I know that this isn't on your list, but I played violin for five years (after choosing between that and the sax), but I am mainly a singer and I looked back and realized that I loved the Cello. It sounds stupid, but i'd defietlly consider it, especially for a begginer.

Choose the piano, it is by far the easiest for beginners. I learn the violin. I would not recommend it to anybody unless they really, really wanted to play the violin .
The violin is quite difficult and unless you are really keen then you will get discouraged with it.

The piano is a wonderful instrument but which instrument do you like the most ?

I started with the guitar, took lessons for about 2 years, then easily switched to piano. It didnt take me long at all to learn piano, because I was accustomed to notes. Only thing is that I really didnt enjoy the sound of a guitar, I loved the piano, so that is what i have been playing for years.
