Answers: AC/DC or KISS !!!!!

Death. question answered.

AC/DC.

Led Zeppelin, of course!

Led Zeppelin

KISS. Just ask Gene $immon$.

Rolling Stones would be my other choice.

the clash definately

The Who.

Queen?

By BEST do you mean most successful or best overall musicians?

Most successful = Beatles (this is not up for debate)

Best overall musicians = this is very debatable because everyone has an opinion on what makes a good musician.

I think that you will find that a majority of people will say that Led Zeppelin was the best overall band. Every band member was phenomenal in their own right. Again this is debatable because everyone has their own tastes.

The thing that separates Led Zeppelin from the pack is (besides the Beatles) they have had the most direct influence on almost every rock band that has followed them. That, plus their musicianship gives Led Zeppelin the top nod in my book.

Probably the Beatles, or Led Zep.
My fave is Pink Floyd

For Straight forward Rock and Roll it has to be AC/DC

mrs Edward is right...U2!!!!!!!!

I would say "A LOT!".

While most people would argue either The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, or The Rolling Stones, i can't agree. These bands are very succesful, either commercialy, or with an underground theme.

The best rock band in history, though, would be Black Sabbath. Not only are they great, but they are still creating quality music after 50 years, and Led Zeppelin was inspired by Black Sabbath as well. While most people may think that Black Sabbath will probably be tainted forever because of the actions of Ozzy Osbourne, i beleive that anyone can forget those actions, because he has overcome any7thing that the world may have thrown at him, fr the first thing, but more importnatly, Ozzy isn't and has never been the best part of Black Sabath, contrary to popular beleif. The best part of Black Sabbath has been, and will always be sir Anthony "Tony" Iommi.

Metallica

My vote would go to

KISS
Led Zeppelin
Alice Cooper

my chemical romance and evanescence

The Beatles

U2

Pearl Jam.

serj tankian

Alice in Chains.

THE BEATLES!! no body can deny their career. anybosy who does, they are just ignorant.

Without doubt -Soft Machine!!

The Rolling Stones is my pick. They had talent, they had tenacity, and they kept rocking even when all of the other "British Invasion" bands had splintered or retired. Granted, the Stones had periods when they seemed to be on autopilot, but there's no denying the quality of most of their work nor how good they were as a unit. The Rolling Stones were the quintessential rock 'n' roll band and their place in rock history is secure.
