How come stores don't sell these great hard to find albums?!

Question: Infinite - Eminem
Guess Who's Back - 50 Cent
The Moral of the Story - Saigon
anything by Z-Ro or most of the Screwed Up Click

I'm sure all of these albums would sell well, because I only hear good stuff about them. Underground Hip Hop is so hard to find! I remember I got my copy of Power Of The Dollar off a small shop somewhere in Boston in 2003. Why can't regular stores in local places sell this stuff? If cr@ppy albums go platinum and get lots of radioplay, why can't all of these underground artists with way more skills at least get their album in a regular store?

Stores don't sell those albums because the stores themselves won't make that much money off the album. Eminem has alot of fans, but only a small percentage of those fans have heard all his major releases, and even a smaller percentage like him enough to check out Infinite, and even a smaller percentage is willing to buy the album. So it's not worth it to make 200,000 copies of the album to be distributed amongst stores like Best Buy and Target, cuz' they wouldn't make that much money off them.

Still though, you should be able to buy the album off places like amazon, if not download it.

Many labels stop printing them. Try Ebay or CD Universe.com
or Amazon.com

i dont know... i'm not sure if you have Tower Records where you live because they sell alot of hard to find albums.

you answered your own question, you just dont know it.

In Texas they sell Z-Ro and the screwed up click albums.

thats why its called the underground...if they go platinum and gets lots of radioplay....wide mass appeal = pop/mainstream not exactly underground

eminem and 50 cent both have platinum albums so they don't really care about how much their old albums sell. Guess who's back is a great album. It seems like i've had it forever and i still listen to it but it doesn't sound like it could go platinum because there isn't millions of people who like underground music.........it wouldn't b underground if everybody listened to it.

becuase they are hard to get so they cant sell them

You need to find an independent record store that specialize in hard to find or out-of-print records. There are a few around, but your best bet is checking out the internet for this type of source.

Crypt pretty much summed it up...a store aint gonna put it on shelves if they dont think a BUNCH of people are gonna buy it...

Actually, actually Best Buy sells a bunch of UGHH... just picked up Jedi Mind Trick's The Psyco-Social
accompanied by:
The Chittlin Circuit 1.5
B-Ball Zombie War
Cydeways
Pete Rock Underground Classics
Dream Merchant Vol. 2
The Further Adventures of Lord Quas

I buy most of mine off the web...you gotta go to those kinda off brand sites, but they have the stuff ya need tho...

I dont know why, but you can find them underground music at FYE and or warehouses.
