i am not sure... but i am guessing it means 7 times .. (sevenfold)
and i think this comes from the Bible that says that an act that has been done will be revenged in a way that is seven times the magnitude of the act.

The X means "fold." "Sevenfold" is a synonym for "seven times." Sometimes I would use the X in "chat room English" 2 mean "times" (as in 13x - "thirteen times"), "ten," or "cross."
