Question: youtube is an option but its hard to get talent out there. they are working on other ways for people to have opportunities to be a singer & actress though.
you could audition for record companies or send them a copy of your demo.
get a myspace music account and upload your music on there. people get really famous by doing that.

probably a no brainer american idol?
A really easy way is YouTube.
American idol is for pop, but you just really need to raise money and get a gig somewhere. You might even want to consider starting a band, and asking for a recording contract. That's what my friend did.
