Who is the most under-rated rock-n-roll band of the 70's? and 80's?!

Question: The Band.
(this is no joke there is a band called The Band.)
(more info..The Band was an influential Canadian-American rock and roll group of the 1960s and 1970s.)

The Cars. Every album was excellent.

the red hot chili peppers back in the eighties. now they're big though.

Steely Dan and the Doobie Brothers come to mind,

Oingo Boingo in the 80's

Grim Reaper...Steve Grimmett is one of the best vocalists ever.

I totally agree with Dr. Hook. When you have Shel Silverstein writing a large portion of your songs, you gotta be cool.
I also would like to add
Three dog night
Blood, Sweat and tears
Little Feat
Steely Dan
Ozark Mountain Daredevils
Atlanta Rhythm Section
Marshall Tucker

Peter Frampton

Badfinger

Traffic
The Allman Brothers

I would say Thin Lizzy...

Janis Joplin, although she died in 1970.

agree with post above me. The Band was one of the greatest bands i have heard

Hüsker Dü
Adam & The Ants
PiL
The Fixx
