Question: i recently fitted a new speaker in my amp- sounded good, but recently it sounds 'muddy', have my valves gone? or is it something else?

sorry I meant to answer earlier, Your preamp tubes need replacing every decade or so but your power amp tubes need up-keep every 6 to 12 months depending on how often you play, when the bigger tubes stop glowing orange and your tone seems "skinnier" then they need replacing, DO NOT do it yourself, bring it in to a service pro, theyll set you up with the correct tubes and install them properly

Your amps need replacing when you blow them out.
