Why do most people assume your racist if you don't like Rap music?!
Question: Why do most people assume this? I've just had a lot of encounters multiple people of different ethnic groups who aren't of European blood and they ask what music I listened to and I say Metal and they immediately assume "you're racist because your Asian and are a fan of White people music and for not liking Rap that the majority of your nationality likes and makes." Its not just me I've noticed this a lot to from other people. But a different ethnic groups create Metal around the world, country to country yet they think its only "White people."
So why in your opinion do most people think you're racist against people of African or Asian decent or other ethnic groups besides European simply for not liking Rap music?

one thing I realized, as many groups cultures exist as many stereotypes exists. we are HUMANITy :)
because "most people" are really stupid and should all just shut the fuckk up. I never was rascist but every day i feel more like one because of this, so if i become one, its their own damn fault.

I think that's stupid. I know a guy of Indian backround and he's all metal. He's in a Death Metal band. I'm of European background and as a lot of Euro people I love metal.
be yourself bro, do not conform to the likings of others. You are your own individual. **** what they expect, **** what they listen to, and **** their stereotypical standards. You are a metal head be proud of it, fly its flag high. Throw your devil horns and middle fingers in the air and bang your head. They are the ones being discriminatory towards the music you listen to, so in a way they should point their fingers to themselves when they refer to someone as a racist due to musical differences
I don't believe that most people feel that way.
Perhaps it's just the people you hang around with.
I guess some people see the "Rap vs. Rock" battle as a black vs. white thing, which is totally not true (where do they thing rock comes from?) so I guess it stems from ignorance. I've been refered to as racist because I'm not a fan of rap (it's beside the point that one of my best friends is black) it's just the sole fact that I don't listen to rap? That's ridiculous! When are people going to learn that music transcends race and culture?

That's the dumbest thing I ever heard!!! I know plenty of people who are black or other nationalities that like rock music. Why do people stereotype just because you like a certain music!!! I hate that!!! I love rock music but that doesn't mean I abuse drugs or am a **** because I'm neither. Apparently if your being judged because of the music you prefer they are not your real friends because music does not make a person who they are. What's inside makes a person who they are.
