Is there anybody?!
Question: is there anybody else out there that recorded either a "radio show" or a "mixtape" using the microphone on boom box as a kid? i know you remember the double deck cassette joint with either the microphone input... or better yet.. the joints with the built in microphone that was was part of the radio.... YOU REMEMBER.... the verticle rectangle holes???? looked something like this >> ????? | | | | | ?????? hahahahaa.. i cant be the only one..

YES!!! I had the boom box with the built in mic, and I used to spend hours in my room doing my own radio show, and also making skits. I can't believe how entertained I used to keep myself. Those were great days.

lemme tell ya..when I used to have dial up (only a couple years ago), and I was broke, I used to do that to a mixtape show w/an old tape recorder...

yeah i gave the cassette to my grandma, jeez, that was like 5 or 6 years ago so I was like 8 or 9
like I said on the last question I was rockin that sh*t! Some cats still record to tape, I wouldn't mind a reel to reel these days.

Your are not the only one. That is one of my favorite past times that and having 2 turntables and a microphone.
yes!!! i have a tape with me and my cousins doing interviews on each other like we were real rappers. i even have a "mixtape" of everybody freestyling. my grandmother had this recorder with a microphone attached to it so we played around a lot with it when we visited there for the summer. those were the days...

We use to rhyme and record in the stairwells in the PJ's, or in the Lobby....the sound was better. We had somebody that would beatbox and the rest would bang on the windows to create the beat of the song. There was nothing like MCing to "I Got The Big Beat" or "Rocket in the Pocket' banged out on the windows.....
@Victoria ----I remember when everybody would tape Red Alert on Kiss(WRKS) or Mr. Magic on WBLS or The Supreme Team Show----LOL---Then front like those mix joints was theirs..... hahahaha
wow I so did this...i use to take one of those old tape recorders and put head phones in my radio and just sing...that was back when i was a die hard NKOTB fan ya I'm 32 and feeling every bit of it right now....times have changed so much!!
