Metal bands?!
Question: Do you know of any metal bands?
My favorite geners are
Gothic metal (Silentium, dreadful shadows)
symphonic metal (nightwish, epica, nighwish, kamelot)
nu metal (koRn)
neo-classic metal
heavy metal (Rob Zombie)
industrial metal (Static-x)
alternative metal (Lacuna coil)
please don't put down black metal because i try to avoid it. I'm gothic but not satanic. Don't but down people like marylin manson, cradle of filth etc.
i also listen to new age artists like Peter Kater

if you know of any other good bands that are not in the catagory that i put up, don't hesitate to write it down! i'm open to any good bands!

Before I reccomend, I'd just like to point out you can listen to Black Metal without being a satanist, and neither Marilyn Manson nor Cradle of Filth are black metal, or even close to it.

IC: Not trying to be rude, but none of those bands are grindcore, if you want grind try Napalm Death and Terrorizer. On the other hand, I respect you for not saying that they were all Brutal Death Metal like I hear so many people claim.

Cradle of Filth is actually not bad in the song "Nymphetemine", because Liv Kristine is featured in it (she's the singer from Leaves' Eyes and Theatre of Tragedy). I'm with you on the black metal thing, though, that stuff is truly scary to me. I'm also slightly gothic but that stuff is too much for me. We have much the same taste. :)
Another great gothic band is Collide. Even though they are not metal, they are electrogoth and truly interesting and unique. Check them out too if you like.

cradle of filth, i know you said you don't like them, but give em a second chance. get their cd "Dusk and Her Embrace" its gothic and way different and better then their recent releases. i'm lutheran and i love their music. you don't have to take their message to heart
