well i think that the verse that you give means exactally what it says..
this person was woken up to the sound of rain, he/she was dreaming about that special someone, the rain awakened them and the dream was gone.. but the fact that, that person they're dreaming about is actually their dream come true,..means that they'll never really lose them whether it be in a dream or in real life for that matter. that they're love is so great they'll never be separated for anything..
