Question: It's a classic Pearl Jam song...very slow and soft.....Vedder mumbles quite a bit....good guitar solo in middle.....song ends with sweet, soft guitar finale.

I would agree with the general consensus here that your probably refering to "Yellow Ledbetter." Don't bother looking up the lyrics. Vedder NEVER wrote any to it. ANd yeah..that Mike McCready's melodic solo in the middle.
