Nationaltiy does matter.
It is obviously the exposure of the band that got so many kids got into it..
Its not the kids' fault though..
Its a shame record companies only market American bands.. Some brit bands too.. Where i know there are great bands from europe etc.
Nationality also effects on how the kids can relate to a band.
I'd imagine it would be just as popular with the UK "scene" kids.
Of course. I like their music, so why not? Nationality doesn't matter, the quality of the music does :)
I would absolutly still listen to their music. It has a good message and tells intresting stories. I like Tokio Hotel and they're German, so why wouldn't I like My Chemical Romance if they were from somewhere like Germany?
Well yeah, because I don't care if other people like or how famous MCR is I just care about the music and the lyrics and personally I love MCR's lyrics and music :]

If they were unknown, then how could everyone still like them as much? They wouldn't know them.
I'm not really a fan, but I think that they'd be as popular if they were from another country, as long as they were promoted and overplayed as much as they are. That's how people got to know about them. However, if they were from another country, they would most likely not get as much exposure, so fewer people would know them, and most would be less likely to like them since many of their fans are mainstream pop-rock lovers.

as long as they sounded the same and gave the same message...I would hope their accents would stay the same....I'm happy that they're from the states though...I feel closer to them lol
yes. i listen to a lot of bands not only american bands. and besides i liked them before they made it main stream. i liked them when no one that i knew heard the name MCR actually it wasn't until 2006 when the black parade album came out that they got REALLY big. before that i would always say oh i love MCR and people would be like who? so YES i would still like mcr if MCR would be from other country than USA and unknown here. its not where their from or how popular that makes me like them. it's their lyrics, its the inspiration, its the meaningful words, its the guitar riff/solos, its the way Gerard sings and the vocals he varies in songs. its the beats and rhythm. its the concept of the album. its everything that makes MCR is what i like about them. i could care less about how famous they are. if they are the same people(cus these guys have great personalities), same songs, same message...yes i would still love them
yes,why not....i love McR for its difference and for its mystery....they are the best rock band for ever in the world,if they were from USA,UK,or.....it never minds,i just love them for their music klyrics and....and u know Gerard and Mikey's dad is from Scothland and their mom is Italian...and Scotish are the people that i love and i love Scothland!!!
and the secret and beauty of gee and Mikey's faces are because they're 2 sides and both of them are Europian....
but i love thm any way...if they are gonna be 6 members for their new album,i will love them again,cuz McR are awesome in anystyle,anyway....
and if they were from Iran i could buy their albums easily and go to their concerts happily....

Probably if they have the same beat and awesome meaningful lyrics...I couldn't care where they were from.
