Theirs sound systems that you can record on that also helps you digitally change the tones in your voice. Either that or its from all that weed they smoke. I like both of them as artists though.
It's called vocoder << Google it. These things makes your voice sound more nicer and has a robot sound to it. It's becoming more famous nowadays. Why should there be tubing in your mouth? If you talk and that thing is in your mouth. Wouldn't you be choking? Lmao.
yes back in the day they used to use a tube....kind of like snoop had in the sexual eruption video...Roger Troutman used to use that a lot (he's an old r&b singer) If you watch the California Love video by Pac he is the older guy with the tube in his mouth...and that was his signature style...T-pain is just jockin it now....
lol ok everyone has been wrong so far. everyone has been shooting close though. the thing u are talking about with the tube in your mouth is called a talkbox, i own one, but that is not what he is using. another person suggested a vocoder, i own one, that is also not the thing they are using. the thing they are using is what they call an auto tuner. the auto tuner corrects your voice when you are off key but when you put the setting to a slow reaction it makes it have an electronic type of sound. songs with the tube in the mout (talkbox) are songs like california love 2pac. and my favorites with talkboxes are basically every song by daft punk check em out. harder better faster stronger, around the world, something about us, and digital love all use talkboxes.

T-pain uses "autotuner" software, also known as pitch correction software, in order to achieve that perfectly pitched digital tone. Many artists do use little bits of this stuff here and there in the studio, but it is polished in a way so that it is not dead obvious to the listener that such software was used.
