Would you like to hear an African-American country singer?!

Question: I am going to release some songs on myspace soon.

Answers: I am going to release some songs on myspace soon.

cool
that's a new one
i think it would be really unique and interesting!

There used to be Charlie Pride.

I enjoy country music. It doesnt matter what skin tone the singer is...

I would, but I don't like country much. I will keep my mind open though and would give it a listen. Best of luck to you.

yes.

Sure... follow in the footsteps of Charley Pride... :)

I'd love to I like all sorts of music

cool =)

Like Charlie Pride and Ray Charles?

sure

sure why not? the color of your skin dosent determine what kind of music you should like or sing.

Not really a big country fan, but I wish you the best in your endeavor.

Yeah, I've heard Charlie Pride before.~~

i really dont listen to country much, but i think variety and individuality is beautiful. so i wish you the very best of luck :)

no. not at all

You aren't that unique,

Charlie Pride beat you to it by about 35 years.

Yeah, I love country music and I think if a good, soulful black voice was behind it all, all the better! I'll be waiting, hope you get some stuff up soon so I can check it out!

All the best!

skin color has nothing to do with it long as its good

i mite want to hear it....the only african singer i know is Bob Marley

Hit me with your best shot cow boy (LOL)

i think that sounds really cool. the reason why i think that is because music and singing is about expressing yourself and making a kind of art and expreimenting (is that spelt right) with cultures and stuff so go ahead with the sound that you are going to create and i wish you good luck

I mean to me most of the ppl who try to be African American Country singers just doesn`t sound natural but maybe u can prove me wrong

if you think you are good, GO FOR IT!!!! Before you don't and you regret it!

Sorry don't care for country music

Yes. Charlie Pride was awesome. Cowboy Troy is cool as hell.

As long as you sound good, I don't care about your skin color. I love Charley Pride, Rufus Payne(taught hank sr how to play guitar and sing the blues)..there are some other african-american artists out there today too-Rissi Palmer to name one.

you can read more about the influence african americans have had in country music here:

thats great slappy, who's the singer????

Big Al Downing was one of my favorites. He had some great songs and a great voice.

Mrs Chris Breezy, give a listen to Charlie Pride. But if someone, anyone sings soul type country....it ain't country at all.
My answer is if he sounds like the old school country....bring it on!

This would not be a first, but if you have the voice then go for it.
