Answers: i wanted to learn to play and i was just wondering how hard it would be. =)

I just started learning guitar and they teach lessons at my school so i took them and it was mostly classical guitar. I've been told by heaps of people (and like music experts) that classical is easiest, then acoustic and electric is hardest. At first when i started i was like this is frustrating but then i practised and i got better. I've been told that if you start guitar young then its like heaps better when you get older of something (i dont know how old you are but im 13 so thats like young i guess).

Practise is pretty important when you learn the guitar so like every day practising is good. I try to play my guitar every day but if i miss a day thats fine. If you buy a guitar to practise with at home a classical or acoustic guitar would be best. Classical has nylon strings (they feel like plastic :s) and acoustic has steel strings (if you get acoustic you should probably get a pick coz it kinda hurts using fingers). In my lessons coz it was classical they taught me how to play in like different styles of music and all this technical stuff.

Theres heaps to learn about the guitar like there are all these italian words for when the music gets quiet and when it gets loud. I don't play piano but i tried to once and i found it hard and i reckon that guitar is heaps easier. Its been almost a year now that I started learning coz i started in about febuary 07 and seriously im a lot better now than back then (lol :D). But yea you should learn guitar coz i find it fun and its easy and also it gives you can extra thing you know, like if someone is like yea do you do anything you can be like i play guitar. lol anyway....... yea basically its easy and you should do it.

hope this helps :D

you gotta give the time and have to practice for good effect at least an hour a day. i platyed it, and went on vacation for a month so didnt play it, and i lost so much talent. im trying to regain it, but you gotta be careful

It requires skill and lots of time, like anything else. It's not too difficult to get your power cords down, but you have to take the time out of your day to either learn or teach yourself.

It's not the hardest instrument to learn, but no matter what you're learning you have to have the dedication to practice.

I would suggest getting a teacher though, but if you're going to teach yourself pick a song you like and learn its chords... that way you'll WANT to keep going.

You need personal discipline and the willingness to give 30 minutes to one hour a day to practice it.

That depends on if you are getting lessons, if you have your own guitar to practice on, how much you practice,,,,and to me, if you love it enough to go over and over what you have learned until you have it perfect and if it is FUN for you.
If you love it, you won't be able to stay away from your guitar and you will want to get it right ...that's the way it should be. It will be confusing at first,,,but let it all sink in and when the pieces start falling together it will be worth it !
Good Luck !!!!!!!!!

depends what kind of guitar youre learning. (Classical is very hard.)
