Opinions on ALTER BRIDGE's new album???!
Question: haven't really listened to the cd yet (besides "rise today") and don't know if it is worth buying, so i need some opinions. should i get it? out of 5 stars, what would you give it and why?

I've heard most of the songs in Youtube and I give it 4 out of 5. It's not that perfect but definitely a very good and satisfying album. You won't regret it. It's heavier and edgier, but what makes it quite palatable is that the songs have uplifting and usually positive messages, which is quite a rarity for hard-rock bands nowadays.
It's Creed without Scott Stapp... no seriously it is. They are a little harder than Creed was, but they have the same happy messages in most songs. I thought the album was okay, however, I am not into commercialized music so you may really like them. Check out the song Ties That Bind, I would give the album a 3-1/2 star's
